The other side

So far, the photos put on here have been mostly film. So, here’s some digital stuff.

They were taken at the East Lancs Railways “War Weekend”. Honest.

Simplicity

Leica Model E (Standard), no lightmeter, no batteries, no AF, no rangefinder… just an eye and basic understanding…

Simplicity in itself.

Hobson’s choice?

Having swapped my LC-29 developer for a bottle of Adox APH09, I’ve noticed a very distinct change in the appearance of negatives. So much so, I’m able to tell the difference between the printed results of the two developers.

Something I wasn’t expecting to do yet, especially as I’ve only been developing film for the past 3 months.

Digital cameras, you’re stuck with what sensor’s slapped in the camera at the time of design. Film, you’re free to choose what film (limited to speed, compared to digital) and developer you want. Hell, buy a copy of “The Darkroom Cookbook” and create your own developer, if you want.

So… digital cameras give you freedom…?? You’re really sure about that?
